In short: LifeSignal uses anonymous authentication. We don't require your email, phone number, or any personal information to use the app. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't track you.
LifeSignal ("the App") is developed and operated by Nikolay Matorin, an independent developer based in Germany. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the LifeSignal iOS app.

LifeSignal uses anonymous authentication provided by Firebase Authentication. When you first launch the app, an anonymous account is created automatically. This means:
Your account is identified only by a randomly generated User ID (UID) that cannot be traced back to your real identity.
We collect only what is necessary for the app to function. Here is a complete list:

We do NOT use your data for: advertising, marketing, analytics, profiling, data brokerage, or any form of tracking across apps or websites.
LifeSignal uses the following third-party services:
Firebase data is stored in the EUR3 (Europe) region. Firebase's privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the EUR3 (Europe) region. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to the database is protected by Firebase Security Rules that ensure users can only read and write their own data.
Your data is retained as long as your anonymous account exists. Since there is no login mechanism, your account persists on your device until you either:
LifeSignal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

To exercise any of these rights, send an email to lifesignal.app@protonmail.com with your request. Since we use anonymous authentication, we may ask you to provide your anonymous User ID (available in the app's Settings screen) to locate your data.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For significant changes, we will notify users through the app.
